On Wednesday April 15 2026, ar 10:30-12:00 EDT (14:30-16:00 UTC) the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Future Networks Initiative (FNI) will host a webinar kick off their 2026 Connecting the Unconnected (CTU) program. This annual effort has two aspects 1) a global challenge – a competition that solicits solutions from start-ups, grassroots organizations, universities, or anyone else that is working to bridge this digital divide in innovative ways.. and 2) a series of regional summits that bring together experts, community leaders, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for expanding digital access and fostering digital inclusion.
