On 10 -11 March 2026, the ICANN85 NextGen Fellows gave their presentations at the ICANN Community Forum in Mumbai. Eleven presentations explored the evolving challenges of Internet governance through a new generation’s lens. Across topics ranging from Universal Acceptance and the emerging AI divide to encryption, DNS abuse, Internet shutdowns, and digital sovereignty, speakers emphasized a common theme: connectivity alone is no longer enough — true inclusion depends on usability, trust, and meaningful participation.
