Let’s Improve Routing Security Together: Introducing MANRS Sponsorships

For over a decade, MANRS has been working to strengthen the Internet’s routing system, with the community collectively reducing the impact and volume of routing security incidents and easing regulatory pressure in key markets.

Today, MANRS includes nearly 1,300 participants from six continents and multiple sectors, plus an even wider community of people and organizations committed to making the routing system safer. A strong MANRS community is good for both the networks involved and the Internet as a whole.

But the work has just begun.

To continue this momentum, we must continue to add new participants, mature the initiative’s infrastructure, tooling, and governance, and increase global awareness of the need for better routing security.

MANRS participation is free, and there is no financial cost to be part of the MANRS Community. We remain committed to uniting the community across geographies, sectors, and industries, because broad collaboration leads to the strongest impact.

However, managing the MANRS initiative is not free. Maintaining the technical infrastructure, governance, outreach and advocacy efforts, auditing, staffing, and training all have associated costs, and the initiative’s long-term financial sustainability is of paramount importance.

We are now offering a range of sponsorship options, ranging from USD $1,500 to $250,000 annually, in six tiers with sponsor benefits as outlined in the table below.

6 MANRS Sponsorship Tiers

By sponsoring MANRS, you help us keep MANRS open, accessible, and growing. Your support will also allow us to further develop MANRS, be it strengthening the baseline requirements, improving auditing, or offering helpful tools to network operators.

Routing is the collective effort of thousands of independent networks. Your sponsorship is a statement of your commitment to an unfragmented, secure, and resilient global routing system that underpins our digital lives. It is also an indication that you’re a responsible community member of the collaborative environment MANRS stands for.

If you’re able and interested in becoming a sponsor, fill out, sign, and return this form. We’ve also created two documents that may help you assess your options:

We understand that not everyone is able to be a MANRS Sponsor. But if this work resonates with you, please share it with others who might want to sponsor or collaborate to strengthen routing security.
