We are pleased to share the final results of the Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) elections for the 2025 term. The Board of Trustees, composed of seven members serving three-year terms on a voluntary basis, is entrusted with shaping the organization’s policies and strategies and overseeing its professional management. The Board is elected annually by association members. This year’s elections concluded on December 24, 2024, at 12:00 PM, following a 48-hour voting period, with a voter turnout of 43%.
Dr. Sharon Bar-Ziv – 37% of votes
Sharon, a senior faculty member at Sapir Academic College’s School of Law and head of the Master’s degree programs within the law school, has been re-elected to serve another term as board member of the Israel Internet Association. She holds a PhD in Law and serves as a research fellow at the Shamgar Center for Digital Law and Innovation at Tel Aviv University. As ISOC-IL President since 2022, this marks her second term on the Board.
Sharon’s primary research focuses on legal mechanisms shaping knowledge creation and dissemination in the information age. She is an expert consultant for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a sought-after speaker at international conferences, and a consultant on law, information, and innovation.
Attorney Danit Leybovich-Shati- 32% of votes
Danit is the founder and CEO of Alpha Forensics, a leading firm in strategic cybersecurity consulting and digital investigations. She holds a Master’s degree in law, specializing in law and technology. Her extensive background includes roles at the National Cyber Directorate and the Privacy Protection Authority. A certified digital forensics expert with extensive hands-on experience in digital investigation, Danit teaches “Cyber Regulation” at Bar-Ilan University, delivers lectures for training programs in cybersecurity, DPO and a variety of other technological fields, and hosts the podcast “Why Cyber?”, aimed at making cybersecurity knowledge accessible to the public.
Yoav Wolf – 32% of votes
Yoav has been involved in the field of enterprise computing for close to 30 years. Over the last 15 years, he served on the administration at Seminar HaKibbutzim College, where he led the Department of Technology and IT. His expertise encompasses communications, information security, enterprise computing, software development, cloud solutions, and local computing infrastructure. Among his notable achievements is the prestigious CIO Award, along with multiple awards received by the department under his leadership for innovative projects implementing advanced communication networks and smart classrooms in various institutions.
This distinguished trio brings a wealth of expertise and experience from fields critical to ISOC-IL’s mission, including technology, policy, society, and law. They join the continuing board members: Dr. Hama Abu-Kishk, Attorney Karen Elburg-Rimon, Moshe Haggai, and Brigadier-General (Res.) Rami Malachi. Our board’s insights and contributions continue to play a pivotal role in advancing the Association’s strategic goals and vision for a dynamic and inclusive digital future.
