Joint Letter on Swedish Data Storage and Access to Electronic Information Legislation

On 8 April 2025, 237 civil society organizations, companies, and cybersecurity experts, including Global Encryption Coalition members, published a joint letter to members of the Swedish Riksdag calling on them to reject legislation that would force companies to undermine the encryption of their services. In doing so, the Swedish Riksdag would leave its citizens and institutions less safe and secure.
