On Monday – Sunday, 7–13 September 2026, from 15:00 CEST (13:00 UTC), the Wireless Battle of the Mesh holds ‘Battlemesh v18‘ at Residence Pueblo Escondido in Gornji Karin, Croatia. The Battlemesh is a non-commercial, volunteer-organized annual convention of talks and workshops on the technical and political issues around mesh networking, wireless community networks, and OpenWrt firmware development, with the stated purpose of advancing the right to connectivity, community-owned infrastructure, and related free open source projects. Battlemesh v18 is supported by the Chaos Computer Club, Freifunk, and the Internet Society Community Networks and Infrastructures SIG.
