ISOC-IL is pleased to announce the final results of our 2023 election to fill two vacated positions on the Board of Trustees. Due to the state of emergency in the country, the elections were pushed to January 2024, and voting concluded on January 18. We welcome Brig. Gen. (Res.) Rami Malachi and Moshe Haggai as the two newest members of the Board. Rami and Moshe join the five continuing Board members: Dr. Sharon Bar-Ziv (President), Dr. Hama Abu-Kishk, Adv. Vered Zlaikha, Adv. Karen Elburg-Rimon, and Dr. Tomer Simon.
Our Board of Trustees consists of seven volunteers, all experts and pioneers in the Israeli internet industry, who bring decades of technical and policy experience to steward the policies, goals and activity of ISOC-IL. Elections take place annually, with each elected board member serving a three-year term, and all ISOC-IL members are eligible to vote.
The Board of Trustees and the ISOC-IL Administration extend our deepest thanks to our two exiting Board members, Avi Nagar and Uri Sadot, for their significant contribution and dedicated service to the organization. Our thanks to the Elections Committee for ensuring a fair and transparent election process, and to all who participated in the voting process and the remaining candidates for their active engagement and commitment to shaping the future of Israel’s internet.
