On August 18-20 2026 the African IXP Association (AFIX), in partnership with the Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA) held the 15th annual African Peering & Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) in Kigali, Rwanda.
An open and inclusive forum, AfPIF focuses on developing Internet interconnection and traffic exchange opportunities by bringing together key players – infrastructure providers, Internet service providers (ISPs), Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), content producers and providers, data center operators, policy-makers and regulators, to advance the peering ecosystem in Africa.
AfPIF aims to promote the development of national and cross border interconnection and offers the African technical community a unique opportunity to showcase interconnection challenges and opportunities.
Du 18 au 20 août 2026, l’African IXP Association (AFIX), en partenariat avec la Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA), organisera la 15e édition annuelle du Forum africain de peering et d’interconnexion (AfPIF) à Kigali, au Rwanda.
Forum ouvert et inclusif, l’AfPIF vise à développer les opportunités d’interconnexion Internet et d’échange de trafic en rassemblant les acteurs clés du secteur — fournisseurs d’infrastructures, fournisseurs d’accès à Internet (FAI), points d’échange Internet (IXP), producteurs et fournisseurs de contenu, opérateurs de centres de données, décideurs politiques et régulateurs — afin de faire progresser l’écosystème du peering en Afrique.
L’AfPIF a pour objectif de promouvoir le développement de l’interconnexion, tant au niveau national que transfrontalier, et offre à la communauté technique africaine une occasion unique de mettre en lumière les défis et les opportunités liés à l’interconnexion.
