WEBINAR 25 AUG 15:00 UTC – PQC and OpenSSL: Practical Integration and Deployment

A graphic promoting a session in the Quantum Webinar Series. Set against a dark navy-blue background, it features the logos of the Industry Network Technology Council, IIESoc, and the Quantum Webinar Series across the top. The left side displays a large black title panel reading “PQC & OpenSSL,” with “PQC” in white and “OpenSSL” in a blue gradient. The lower left shows the date “25 August 2026” in bright cyan. The right half is dominated by a glowing blue digital globe overlaid with illuminated network connections and arcs linking continents, with flowing blue light trails along the bottom suggesting high-speed global communications. The design uses a clean, modern technology aesthetic in shades of blue, white, and cyan.

On Tuesday, 25 August 2026 at 08:00–09:00 PDT (15:00–16:00 UTC), the Industry Network Technology Council (INTC) and the India Internet Engineering Society (IIESoc) host the webinar ‘PQC and OpenSSL: Practical Integration and Deployment‘.

OpenSSL plays a central role in securing internet communications, making it a critical platform for integrating post-quantum cryptography (PQC) into real-world systems. As PQC algorithms move toward standardization, support for hybrid and quantum-resistant key exchange and signatures is emerging within OpenSSL and related libraries.

In this fifth talk in the INTC Quantum Series, Rich Salz will explore how PQC is being incorporated into OpenSSL, including provider-based architectures, integration with external libraries such as liboqs, and support for hybrid TLS handshakes.

SPEAKER
Rich Salz – Principal Architect, Akamai Technologies

HOSTS
Nalini Elkins – President, INTC
Praneet Kaur – President, India Internet Engineering Society (IIESoc)
